Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Raising children today is hard work.  Glenwood Church desires to come alongside parents and support them throughout the child-rearing years.  We offer many ways to foster that partnership and share the great news about Jesus with your children.  Our children’s ministry covers children from birth through 12 years old (6th grade).

Safety – The safety of your children is as important to us as it is to you.  All teachers and volunteers who work with children have received their clearances from the PA State Police and the PA child abuse history (Act 33/34).  In addition, all volunteers have completed Glenwood’s mandatory “Safe Sanctuary” training that outlines expected behaviors, safety measures, and signs of child abuse.

Sunday School

Our elementary Sunday School program has classes for Pre-K (4 years old) through Sixth Grade.  We use Grow, Proclaim, Serve! curriculum which incorporates Bible stories, activities, crafts, media, and games into a full faith experience for children that cover the Bible over a three-year period.  With Grow, Proclaim, Serve! children will develop the skills to unlock the Bible message and grow their faith by leaps and bounds

Vacation Bible School

Each year, we provide a high energy one week summer camp experience called Vacation Bible School.  Check back closer to the summer for more information.

Trunk or Treat

On Halloween, we open our building for a fun celebration geared for the kids.  The night includes trick-or-treating, games, crafts, food, and lots of candy.  It can serve as a one-stop location for your Halloween night or a good place to come in from the weather outside.  More details will be posted on our website closer to the date.

Christmas Extravaganza

Every year during December, our children put on a Christmas play or musical that gives us new insights into the Christmas story.
